Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Design for the entire HCC renovation.

Challenge

Design Structural openings, analyze existing structure for intended demolition and renovations.

MEP design for interior renovations, HVAC design, plumbing and Electrical Engineering for extensive lighting upgrades.

Design of lighting systems to be integrated with new Building Automation for the main concourse halls and meeting rooms on 4 levels of the building.

Solution

-Prepare demolition drawing including all the lighting and power systems to be removed/removed and
replaced (site visits included).
-Review of lighting selection and photometric calculation, calculation for all areas (full list below)
-Provide circuiting for the new lighting layouts (Hall, Ballroom, Porter room, misc rooms listed)
-Provide power system layout as needed, including all equipment in new bar/flex/concession areas.
-Lighting control schematic for the Wentworth Hall and Chedoke Ballroom to suit new Building Automation system

-Structural engineering for bulkhead removal, larger exterior windows and analysis of existing SFRS structural system.

-HVAC and Plumbing Engineering to suit change of occupancy and heat loss throughout.
